I needed a 150-word bio for an event I've been asked to Chair...
... so I thought I'd see what an AI program I'm testing could create for me.
Here's what it came up with:
It looks good, right?
Sure... except almost nothing listed here is correct.
This program literally just made stuff up random facts about me and my background, despite my asking it to base the bio on my LinkedIn profile and the About Me page of this website.
Artificial Intelligence can certainly help you with writing.
But if you don't know how to prompt the tool, edit the output, and fact-check the results... there's a good chance you'll run into trouble.
Lucky for me, this one was pretty easy for me to fact-check.
