The Power of Brands

How well do you think you can recognize the logos from famous brands?

My YouTube-addicted children will sometimes watch videos where the purpose is to have you guess the brand (after you're shown its logo) before the timer runs out and the answer is revealed.

It's not surprising that games like this exist. At least, it shouldn't be.

But how quickly my children can usually arrive at the correct answers, even for products that aren't intended for them, is a testament to the power of brands.

My children don't drink Monster or use PayPal today.

But when they're old enough for energy drinks and payment apps, those brands are already embedded in their minds and will make choosing products within those categories easier.

That's the power of brands.

You don't build strong brands for sales today.

You build strong brands for sales forever.

P.S. The logo above is a "gimme": it's one of the most famous logos in the world! If you want to test your logo identification skills for real, you can do so here, courtesy of DailyQuiz.
