ADdicted: Kraft's Black Friday TV Deal

The hands-down winner of this year's Black Friday is Kraft Heinz's TV Deal.

They're offering 65 boxes of Kraft Mac & Cheese for $19.37 at Walmart...

... sold inside a box that looks like a 65" TV.

Kraft Mac & Cheese box features a spoon with macaroni, blue and orange design, "65-inch", "original flavor", "mac Friday", with a small product box.

Most promotional stunts seem like they're designed for Cannes, not customers.

But this one feels different: it's a product that is actually being sold in a real store*, and something actually useful to a key consumer of the product.

The box is the gimmick, but the product (at a great price) is the real draw.

I mean, can you imagine how many university students will try to buy one of these Mac & Cheese TV boxes?

Well done, Kraft (and agency partners).

Very well done.

* We'll see how many are made available, although if I'm the decision-maker at Kraft, I'd sell these instead of the usual boring pre-packs and put as many of these in as many stores that would take them!

P.S. Why the unusual $19.37 price point? According to the Food Network, it's "a nod to the year Kraft Mac and Cheese was first founded almost nine decades ago."
