Better Thinking for a Better Bradford

I have some interesting news to share that might surprise a number of you.

I've decided to run for Ward 4 Councillor in the Bradford West Gwillimbury municipal election on October 26, 2026.*

Why?

Because I've lived in Ward 4 since 2016.

My kids go to school there. I eat at restaurants there. I work out there. I shop there.

Bradford is my community, and it's growing fast.

I know the decisions being made today will shape the town's future, and I want to make sure those decisions are made by qualified people who choose to serve on Town Council to make the town a better place to live, not for their own personal gain.

Why me?

It makes perfect sense when you think about it. Companies hire me to solve hard growth problems. One of Canada's top business schools enlists me to help shape future business leaders. National news outlets call me for expert commentary. The common thread: people trust me to make sense of complex situations and figure out what to do next.

And Bradford West Gwillimbury needs that skill set as it continues to expand and address the challenges that come with rapid growth.

* If you're worried I might be having a midlife crisis in abandoning my role as a marketer, let me assure you that's not the case, for two reasons. First, based on how long Canadian men are expected to live, I'm already well past "midlife". And second, Bradford is still a relatively small town today, so the role of Councillor is officially a part-time position; only the role of Mayor is a full-time job. Which means I can represent the constituents of Ward 4 while continuing to consult, teach, write, and build.
