Do Cool Things

Not every brand has the opportunity to do things like what Google did to celebrate the final episode of Stranger Things on January 1, 2025.
It certainly doesn't make sense for all brands to try.
But if you're a brand owner, I implore you, on behalf of consumers everywhere...
... keep your eyes and ears open for opportunities to do cool things that make sense for your brand.
(Make sense for your brand = places you naturally belong in the conversation, or where you have authentically earned the right to contribute.)
And then do those things!
Google didn't need to create this Stranger Things video.
But it did, and it made sense that they did... and it's perfect.
"To everyone keeping the curiosity door open... Search On."
Just perfect.
Kudos to everyone at Google, Netflix, and their agencies involved in creating this video.
WARNING: If you haven't finished watching Stranger Things, I won't judge you (because I binged all five seasons over the holiday break)... but DO NOT WATCH THE VIDEO BELOW because it contains more than a few spoilers.
